Cafes, forest, half-truths: the town the game is built around.
Read →Updated 2026-11-03I Have Known You is a story-driven adult visual novel from Dotty Diaries, set in a coastal town called Wildflower where a witch hunt happened 300 years ago. You play a man coming home. It is not out yet: Steam lists 26 February 2027, and a demo has been live since 20 June 2026. This site covers the demo in detail, the cast, the setting, and everything the store page actually states about the release.
What you can play today
The demo is the opening of the story: the return, the first meetings, the town, and the first sign that the legend around Agnes has not gone quiet. It ships with four systems the developer named in the announcement — optional free-roam sections, the Journey system, detailed character profiles, and a longer, reworked opening. The character screen is the most surprising part: seven dossiers with age, occupation, likes, dislikes, kinks, relationship state and a Journey Gallery tab, all readable while the story is running.
Before you start
- It is 18+ material. Steam puts an age check in front of the store page, and the developer's warning says the game features adult content and mature themes.
- English only. Steam lists one language for the app; the interface follows.
- Windows, macOS and Linux. All three are listed, and the demo follows the same spread.
- No price, no pre-order. The app carries no price tag yet, so anything quoting one is not from the store page.
- Play with sound. The demo leans on tone; the town reads very differently with the audio on.
Demo, in one table
| Question | Answer |
|---|---|
| Is there a demo? | Yes, live since 20 June 2026 |
| What does it cover? | The opening arc, first meetings and the first legend beat |
| Can I skip the exploring? | Yes — free-roam sections are optional by design |
| Does progress carry over? | The developer says choices carry weight into the full game |
| How long is it? | It ends where the opening arc ends, not on a chapter timer |
Four straight answers
Do I need the full game to play the demo? No. The demo is its own download from the store page, and the full game is not out until 2027.
Is it a dating sim? It is a romance-driven visual novel with a mystery underneath. Relationships can go toward friendship, love or betrayal, and the choice structure is scored rather than free-form.
Is the witch hunt the whole plot? It is the spine. Agnes, the burning, and the way Wildflower tells that story generation to generation sit under every relationship in the demo.
Should I wait for 2027? If you want the finished arc, yes. If you want to know whether the writing and the systems are for you, the demo already answers that.
Where to go next
Start with the demo guide for the four systems in detail, then the demo walkthrough for play order. If the story is what caught you, read Wildflower and the witch hunt. If you are deciding whether to spend money in 2027, the release facts, demo versus full game and is it worth it pages are the short route. Everything is indexed on the guides page.
